Katie is a strategic communications leader with over a decade of experience crafting impactful narratives and building trusted brands in the climate sector.
Katie began her climate career advocating for an amendment to the UN Montreal Protocol, widely regarded as the most successful climate treaty to date. She then spent several years at the World Resources Institute, where she led communications for the Forest Program, driving global campaigns to advance forest conservation and nature-based climate solutions. Most recently, Katie served as Head of Global Communications at the climate-tech startup Patch, where she transformed the company’s brand into a recognized leader in the voluntary carbon market.
Katie’s work has shaped corporate climate strategies, informed international negotiations, and earned coverage in top-tier media outlets worldwide. Her superpowers include building mission-driven relationships and strategic partnerships, as well as translating technical research into compelling insights that inspire action.
Katie holds a degree in Global Studies with an emphasis in Peace and Security from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
