Positioning Fortune 500 executives as sustainability leaders

A global Fortune 500 company with more than 150,000 employees worldwide wanted to strengthen its positioning as a sustainability leader through elevating its executive leaders as authoritative voices on the global stage capable of influencing the sustainability agenda.

Our idea was to systematically connect leaders within the business in North America, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia to the most influential conversations on sustainable business practice and relevant corporate initiatives. In a six-month project we:

  • Established authority by developing articles and opinion pieces that secured placement in influential global media.
  • Amplified the conversation by securing interviews and briefings with nearly every major tier-one outlet including The Wall Street Journal, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Forbes, BBC, and Politico – helping to reach highly influential audiences.
  • Supported leaders through speaking placements at Reuters Impact, Verge, and Bloomberg Green – forums where climate policy, finance, and corporate action intersect.

The campaign aided a fundamental shift in the company’s role in the sustainability discourse – asserting them as a leading voice on clean energy, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
