Case Study
Engaging the banking sector in an innovative cleantech
An innovative carbon credit settlement platform was being developed by a group of five major international banks.
We worked with them to create a brand for the platform with the aim of attracting other international banks to support the initiative, and to make it attractive to the platform’s users, the banks’ business customers.
We developed a communications strategy to promote the platform to all relevant stakeholders, including regulators, the carbon industry, and NGOs, as well as end-customers.
We positioned the new company as a fintech and launched it with high-profile media coverage in Axios, Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial titles.
Our fundraising deck meanwhile helped the group raise tens of millions of dollars in a Series A, and in the months following, the group engaged several major international banks to join the initiative.
As the platform continued to be developed, we delivered visibility in titles such as The Banker and Business Green, and through digital and live events, including at FT Climate Capital Live and the Economist Sustainability Summits, where we were the PR partner, to support engagement of more banks.
As the platform went live, we shifted to a CEO thought leadership strategy on LinkedIn, which helped to drive thousands of prospective customers of the platform to the client’s website.
