Browning Environmental Communications is seeking a Vice President to lead our environmental markets practice, supporting business development, and overseeing accounts in the U.S. and internationally.
Responsibilities and Scope
- Project managing retained or project-based strategic communications assignments, with a non-exclusive focus on environmental markets. Activities would include research, strategy, branding, messaging and content, and outreach across all media, crisis management, with a U.S. or international focus.
- Coordinating with senior representatives of clients day-to-day and processing their changing needs.
- Managing delivery of work remote/hybrid team members to the highest quality.
- New business development focused on networking in environmental markets and lead generation
- Supporting development of marketing materials focused on environmental markets.
- Contributing to agency best practice and knowledge management systems.
- Hiring and developing junior talent.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience of strategic communications in relevant spaces.
- 4+ years’ experience in a managerial position at a major communications agency.
- Deep knowledge of environmental markets, corporate decarbonisation, climate policy, etc.
- Strong ambassador for the company with pre-existing network among environmental practitioners, or ability to develop network
- Strategic storyteller who can translate complex topics for diverse audiences, and is experienced in using traditional and digital channels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills are essential.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications in English.
- Proficient in the appropriate use of AI tools.
- Great references.
